Back at the parking lot. There was a group of three people, standing around drinking cans of beer and chatting. Kinda hard-working country-folk-looking people, but beer at 3pm in a parking lot? I dunno - I kept a watchful eye on them and went about my business. They were all curious about me and the kids, and keeping them safe from the cougars on the trail (not a real concern, don't worry) and such. I wanted to say I'm more concerned about folk like you! ha! Sam had to go to the bathroom and the porta-john experience was interesting - "Will it make a noise? How does it work? Will it suck you IN?"
