The trail is shady, full of ironwoods, and offers lots of bouldering and views at the top to die for.
Some occasions for running, too. Vying for alpha male spot!
A takeover bid in the works...

Isn't he looking grown-up? Practicing a big-guy face.
A quiet moment for Mr. Ben. A rare quiet moment.
Helping the little guy up after many back-and-forths on the lead spot.
Running again - almost at the top!
Snack time! Made it up in 70 minutes - ~1.5 mi and 800' elev gain. Ben earned a peakbagger button for his pack!
Here's the view - you can see three bays from here - Waimanalo, Kailua and Kaneohe. That pointy mountain in the middle is Olomana.

Of course we need to make it trickier by horsing around...
Saying "Oh no!"
I've fallen and I can't get up!
"Catch me in mid-air, Mom!"
The family photo - surfing and farting. Armpit farts are a huge deal right now.
Oh yeah.
They each found rocks to carry down - ALLLL the way back down - the mountain. I even carried one. We put them in our garden to line the edge. We have rocks from all over lining the garden. One even from Macaroni Grill in Albany NY.
This is Mom's rock to carry. Mine was like 8 lbs in contrast! Who is the smart one here?
