2 We're trying out the Pillbox hike in Lanikai today. With four kids.
3 Sam and Anneliese did great hiking on their own. It was hot but they had water and sun protection.

10 We made it up to the first pillbox and stopped for lunch.
11 My camera setting were totally off for this brightness, but we could see all the way out to Molokai and Maui (I think). It was awesome!
12 The first of several fire ant stings up there. The only 6" of shade were right next to this pillbox where we all crammed in to have lunch. What a mess the lunch stop was. The ants, no room, and a million YMCA kids traipsing by on a hike while I'm trying to nurse. There is no room to pass by here - we were right on top of each other.
