·Here's Cherilyn! She was really great, and brought me right back to the "old" days of being trained. She said that these days the no-stirrup drills have gone by the wayside, unfortunately in her opinion. People rely too much on the stirrups for leg position but the way I was trained (and her style as well) is to develop very strong legs so the upper body has a solid base from which to work the horse's balance while the legs keep the horse moving forward with a bit of wrap around the belly. Anyway...it was fun to get the language back again and even more fun to hear "I knew you'd slip right into great form just by looking at you as you walked up - long legs, shorter torso and long arms make for a great equestrianne!" woo hoo!
