Easter

[photopress:IMGP6458.JPG,thumb,thumb]our morning started early with mass (we arrived early only to wait 30 min for a 2 hr mass to start!), then had brunch with mom and ang, who hosted us with a wonderful spread of gourmet cheeses, fresh baked bread, mimosas, smoked salmon…it was lovely. sam took a nap before coming down for his repast, after some coaxing from me (he’s in travel training in prep for a trip back east). it was a great day spent with loved ones. sam even hunted for Easter eggs that Ang’s mom had sent. he was especially delighted with opening them up to find strange toys inside 🙂 more photos in the album…

mania ensues

after dave goes to sea. i guess my coping mechanism is to get incredibly busy. this last episode began with a trip to barnes and noble with dave for a “date”.

moving excitement

we’re moving to o’ahu for 5 yrs in july…and planning to rent for a few months before buying our first home. the median home price is $625K, so i’m doing quite a bit of research before we head out…

[photopress:IMGP6425_1.JPG,full,pp_image]I’m deep into the world of blogging now. i’ve created a new directory on my server, installed a plug-in and customized its settings. here we go – trying to display some images for you! which i know is what you really want, anyway, not my blogging 🙂

Sam’s crazy laugh, “Froggie” and other videos

This is a link to an absolutely hilarious video I had trouble finding because it was 6 months before my conversion to this blog engine. Caffrey is doing a high-five and Sam is watching and just about ready to fall out of his chair laughing! Mary – thank you for reminding us of this!  http://www.kampkrug.com/video/Sams%20laugh.wmv

And another favorite – FROGGIE! http://www.kampkrug.com/video/froggie.wmv

Precious video of Sam opening his blocks from Gramma – 20 months old. http://www.kampkrug.com/video/2006-10-16%20new%20blocks.wmv

Memory lane – Sam’s 0 birthday

This is an email my mom found in her treasure troves…

Hello everyone!

I know this sounds stupid, but until I see Sam I won’t be sure of anything…however, I think I’ve been in labor for about 4 hrs now so I’m taking a minute out to distract myself and tell you the good news  =-O I think we’re in business now!  The contractions have been about 7-10 min apart, and are getting stronger and closer together.

Our little guy has funny timing – poor Dave had duty last night so he’s already been up 24 hrs.  He came home around 4am and is napping right now so he can have some energy for later.  I tried to stay snuggled, but had to get up for a bit.  Fortunately Dave’s had lots more experience functioning without sleep than I do – I think his record is a stretch from Fri am to Tues night on only 3 hrs!  I don’t think it will take that long for Sam to arrive 🙂

We’ll send email updates along the way as much as we can – my mom will be holding down the fort here and taking care of Caff so she’ll pass the word along.   Feel free to call her, too – 360.598.3555.  Please keep us in your prayers.

Looking forward to meeting Sam!!!

Lov,
Alli, Dave, Sam and Caff
