moving excitement

we’re moving to o’ahu for 5 yrs in july…and planning to rent for a few months before buying our first home. the median home price is $625K, so i’m doing quite a bit of research before we head out… we’re going to rent for a few months while houehunting, then buy after the busy summer moving season is over. Caffrey is all ready to go – she has her location chip implanted in her back, her rabies vaccinations all up to date, and shouldn’t have to stay in quarantine! She is not too excited about being stuffed in her travel crate, but she’s a pro and there will be some bribery (food!) that she’ll enjoy. we’re really looking forward to settling down for a while, and having lots of visitors! we’re even looking for a big enough place to rent so you don’t have to postpone a visit until we’re in our own home 🙂

another idea came to me while running the other day – i can work on the beach with my laptop protected from the sand if i just put the stroller rain cover over me! brilliant! (dave’s reaction – that’s the craziest thing i’ve heard in a while…you decide!) i think that enough breeze would get under the cover that i’d be fine. i won’t likely be working on the beach, but i do like to contingency-plan.

Really nice, inviting, not sure about the hour across ocean in a kayak.

I have been at this location about mid 60s when on consulting trip to Hawaiian Electric Co. for Barry & Co. in Los Angeles.
