Ceremony in San Juan Capistrano. An honor to honor those who serve(d).

I think we have four generations of military service in our family, on both sides, perhaps more. Parents – please correct me if I am wrong here. Does it date back to Civil or Revolutionary War? I remember that Granny Dot was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. (I saw the DAR headquarters in Washington, D.C.) Mom, Sam, Ben and I biked/ran down to the ceremony, then hit a playground, then had a surprise visit from somebody special!
