Ben is a funny guy. Tonight we were just chatting while Dave and Sam were at Sam’s guitar lesson. Here is how it went:
“You are so cute, Benji. What does mommy call you when you are so cute and good?”
“Benji.”
“Right! What does mommy call you when you are naughty?”
(quiet for a second) “Ben-ja-min”
“Yes! You are funny. That is right. What does mommy call you when you are REALLY naughty?”
(no answer)
“Benjamin William?” I say.
“What do you call mommy when she is really sweet and fun?”
“Mommy?” with a little smile.
“What do you call mommy when she is naughty?”
“Mom William!”
“Mommy, why is that guy on the news called Brian Williams?” He must think “William” is synonymous with naughty!!!
I just keep laughing and laughing! And laughing some more! I can just see his cute little face as he goes through this. Remind him how much gramma loved his long chat last night, and the picture you sent of him pacing all that time with the phone on his ear!! Precious!!!
Little Benji! His mind is always working. Too cute! Love to hear your stories. Recently we saw Lion King. It was Cam’s first time and he loved it! Which is strange because there are no army men in it. But I was giving him a bath and he says to me, “Mommy, why didn’t you name me Simba?” So now, he’s Simba. Kids! Miss you!
