Sam bringing home "Jersey" - a Jersey Giant hen we are adopting from a lady who needed to get out of the chicken business. She is big! And beautiful. I wanted to name her Snooki, but just couldn't do that to a gracious hen. So Jersey it is 🙂 We also adopted three "Easter egger" chicks about 8 weeks old, so the flock is complete now. Not sure if the chicks are hens or roos - did the best I could sexing them 🙂
She looks BEAUTIFUL as most Jersey girls are! Keep me posted as how she gets along with the others. Sam, you sure look very strong holding that cage and hen. You must be growing so much since I last saw you. How tall are you now? How tall is Ben? I’d really like to know. Love, Grammie
