Sammy exclaimed “I did a miracle!” the other day as he was making “coffee” for us late Friday afternoon. Mom and I were sitting outside, I was nursing Ben, and Sam was holding court by the teak lounge chairs in the bright afternoon sunlight. He then went on to describe how he turned water into coffee 🙂 “I take coffee and put it in the pot then I get water and put it in and cream and then I heat it up on the microwave and then it turns into coffee!” Mom had read to him about the wedding at Cana where Jesus turned water into wine the week before. Sam really has a fantastic memory and it’s so fun to hear how he recalls things then adapts them to his own world. He also built us a coffee cart out of Legos – the cart drives down our street on Friday afternoons and sells coffee, much like an ice cream truck. Fantastic idea!
