we went for a great hike to Maunawili Falls today with Mike, Angel, Luke, Josh, David and Sheena, then drove out to Waimanalo to see our rental cottage by the ocean. you can hear the ocean from the cottage, and it’s really cute. we will love living there for a month! then we came back and jumped in the pool, i took a nap on the pool deck, basking in the warmth of the ground. i woke up to Dave standing over me, cell phone in hand, saying “we have a home”! our offer was accepted and we are going to be homeowners soon! we are so thrilled! we went to dinner at a local favorite (Buzz’s Steakhouse right on Kailua Beach) with the whole gang and celebrated being near such great friends and the blessing of a quick househunt. the home we bought is in excellent condition so we can move right in, it’s 3 bedrooms/2 baths and a little  yard, garage and community pool shared with eleven other homes in a small association. more details soon! we will be busy this week working on our closing since we’re trying to do it in about a month (Hawaii closings typically take 6 wks). check out the rest of the pictures by clicking on any of the shots above.
