here are a few pictures (thanks to angel!) of our temporary home for a couple months! we are so blessed to have found this home. we’ll be their first longer-term tenants, and they’ve completely remodeled the home. it’s in our price range, they love kids and dogs, AND it’s a block from the beach! we’ll be in waimanalo, which is on the windward side of the island, just south of kailua where my dear friend angel and her family live. the beach at waimanalo is great for kids – very gentle waves. sam will totally love it 🙂 we can’t wait. what a great place to “land” for a few months while looking for a house to buy. who knows, maybe we’ll just bag the mortgage and stay here for 6 yrs 🙂 it’s 2 bedrooms, new appliances and deck, kayak to borrow, new tile and carpet throughout – totally awesome! i couldn’t believe our good fortune when i got an email back from the owner several weeks after i’d inquired.

for those of you planning to come out for “Boar on the Beach” – the Thanksgiving luau – plans are underway. details forthcoming 🙂 it promises to be a great time!
