olympics and hike at Lake Crescent (Sammy did his first 1.5 mile solo hike!!!) and now we’re heading over for the final packout, cleanup, a last run through our town, last latte, and pre-packing up our rented suv for the trip to the airport tomorrow at 4:30am!

we enjoyed a German dinner at a local pub with a dozen of our friends on Friday night, followed by great music performed by a friend of ours and his band at a cocktail lounge above our favorite restaurant. it was really hard to say goodbye, but we all had so much fun that the parting was enjoyable. we look forward to many visitors over the next couple years. aloha, friends!
i was wondering if you’d be able to send anymore updates..sounds like a good send off!! especially, the grman restaurant!! you’ll probably be too excited to sleep so it won’t matter if you stay out late..have a wonderful time and a safe trip. we’ll be thinking of you all the way…love and prayers…g.g.
Oh goodness Alli and Dave, we’ve had Sammy here for a little over a week, and Caffrey, too. This place will be so empty when you leave in the early morning, and my heart is aching, as you can imagine.
Pete and Sammy and I are about to hit the deck where we’ve filled the wheelbarrow with water which has been warmed by the sun, and guess what Sammy’s about to do!!
