A surprise for Sammy and me :)

Dave came home with a surprise treat for Sammy and me tonight – a new jogging stroller! As much as I loved our stroller/travel system, it was actually pretty heavy, and with Sammy’s off-the-charts size, it was time to upgrade to something more comfortable for both of us. We took it for a spin tonight – so light and maneuverable, and the swivel wheel is really great for off-roading. Last week we found a trail at the Marine Corps base that winds around through some tidepools – it was only about 3′ wide – and the new stroller will make the ride less jarring for Sam.) We continue to be so thankful for the opportunity to live in a beautiful place and resume the life we’d been living before Dave went to sea. Dave is such a different person here – he’s more relaxed, social, working out, losing weight, dressing snazzy (he’s in ironing his clothes for tomorrow as I type). It’s fun getting to know this side of him again! It reminds us both of when we lived in Saratoga and struck out for 30 mile bike rides after work, stopping at a local microbrewery for a sampler on the way home. (Actually not such a brilliant idea – the beer doesn’t have time to get metabolized and shoots straight to your brain cells, causing one to do foolish things like jump up in the air exclaiming “Tree Frog!” and hoping to be caught despite hearing your loving partner say “no, No!, NO!”, then falling back against a kitchen cupboard on the way down…)

The termite inspection went well yesterday and it looks like we may get to close early! I checked on our household goods shipment today. Apparently someone forgot to tell the local movers that all our stuff is on the pier, in a container. I guess they’ll pick it up this week and it should be available to us in time to get it a few days early, right after closing. The timing couldn’t be better. Keep crossing your fingers and toes, though 🙂

Your website title needs to be in English and not that Pig Latin!
