Last bloom!
Leni waiting...waiting...waiting for that darn hockey schedule to drop!
Mini mommy - for Harvest Fair.
Emmy was lame for a few days so I got to try riding this cute pony, PlayDate!
It was very interesting to get to know him and his ways. Very educational.

First game for Ben!

Dave has a new Islanders jersey. This was a crazy drive down to Tacoma and back to Bremerton for Sam's game, all in very hard rain.

Waiting around with the kids who wanted to watch the Warriors play. I was at the rink a LONG time.

He scored a hat trick - three goals!

This is the next morning.

Selling that epic card to raise money for hockey tournaments. Let's hope a Navy guy wants to buy it! The card store is in Bremerton, right by the shipyard.
That cedar we were splitting at Janet's? It really took off...so much so that the fire alarm went off and I couldn't get it to quiet. Made for a very celebratory evening, complete with visitors in a red truck!
Out shooting with Sam by dusk.

Another big pull - a good card in this booster pack! A reward for persisting with learning to use contact lenses. We are so proud of Sam!

Eating Casa Rojas nachos.
Trying to learn how to do a wrister.
Sam doing homework - without being asked.
Sam pours milk...well...not very well. He actually drives the truck better than he can get milk in a glass. And he can drive a puck at 54 miles an hour into a 6" pocket better than he can get food into his mouth. A great mystery.

Fall is beautiful here.
A pizza fundraiser during photo night on Thursday. My team is great! They really pulled together to supply food, salad, beverage and dessert.

Found this little guy again - Carver found him on Mount Townsend, and I refound him in my pocket!
Sam helping unload groceries...with a milk cup in his nose!
Early day going to Kingsgate arena for Sam's game, then to Bremerton for Ben's! Lots of driving! Thought the King's crown would wake everyone up :)
Playing cards on the ferry.
Really calm waters and subtle grey skies.
Ask me about COMPLETE...CONTROL...Bam!

Layers of gear. Switched layers halfway through so we could get at Ben's in a flash, as soon as we pulled into Bremerton. We barely made the ferry, but pulled into Bremerton just 2 min after our hoped-for arrival. Thankful for safe travels and good games.

Whew!!!!
The snacks these Mites get after games...
wow.
Wheat having kale salad.
Doing a little wood chopping to refresh ourselves for the evening.
The pumpkin continues to grow.
Wheat's nighttime routine. I stayed for about 20 min to watch what she does. It was very peaceful. She's looking to see if all the other hens are settled. If not, they will pick on her as she tries to get up on a roost.
The coast is almost clear.
Just another minute...
Last check...
About to enjoy a nice rest on her own roost, next to Gordon.
Last minute! I missed Sam's top shelf goal...dang it! But it was a close game that we ended up winning 5:3.
Ben playing good defense!

Playing matching game at Casa Rojas Express.
After the ride. Love a sweaty beast :)

A fun ride on Emmy Thursday. One of the other riders was doing this (with two additional poles as well) so I decided to give it a try. Cantering over poles has been on my list for a long time. Emmy would have jumped them if I didn't have her firmly in hand.
Ben in his Owen Grady costume (from Jurassic Park World).
Cans to hold dry ice...love when a plan comes together without any effort! I was wondering what I'd put the dry ice in. These are chili cans.
It's mischief night, but I'm out on a morning jog to conjure ideas...

Dry ice vapor that you can hardly see...
Ooops. Martha Stewart had an accident.
All set!

These little tea lights last a long time.
Goodnight, fire. You did well!
Doug had the great idea to tell me how to build a dry ice bomb.I didn't quite get the proportions right so will have to try again!
Everett Youth Hockey Grizzlies game on Halloween. Candy scramble afterwards was fun. These are such nice people.
Trick or treating as a team in Mill Creek.
And then trunk or treat...CROWDED and LOUD!

Taking refuge at Central Market for soup and sushi.
And fried chicken stolen from Coach Arlo!
Surveying the Mischief Night damage. I am sore from catapulting cornbread and wiping out once on a slippery board doing it. Also sore from pushing parents around in the jogging stroller at a high rate of speed up the driveway. And my eyes are swollen from being hit with toxic rotted green pumpkins, which was apparently the highlight of the evening for 10 yr old hockey boys!! Glad to have made their night, and happy to have some lingering memories of a very fun time with neighbors and friends.
Busy spider on the zip line!
The catapult resting, and the dry ice bomb waiting for more fuel.

The view from the rink parking lot. Pretty nice!
