mom arrives, trip to north shore

mom got in last night and went up to the north shore with us this morning. we visited one of dave’s favorite haunts from 10 yrs ago – the Coffee Gallery – for yogurt/fruit/granola cups and coffee 🙂 then we drove back down to Kailua on the east side of the island on rt 83 (for great grandma in case you’re checking the map 😉 ). after stopping for spam musubi at 7/11 (a local treat made with spam resting on a bed of rice and wrapped with seaweed), we went to our home inspection appointment. everything went great, and we were really happy with our inspectors – both architects – because they were very thorough and were able to answer some questions we had about remodeling. we paid a bit more for them, but were happy to do so. all is great with the house, and we’re moving forward 🙂 we also stopped off to jump in mike and angel’s pool and hang out with them a bit. so nice to have great friends and neighbors so close by! caff and i took a quick run down the beach at sunset with sammy watching and clapping as we returned. he laughed when caff jumped the waves and got wet 🙂 we’re spending the evening reviewing documents with a cold beer in hand…
You’re being modest — that was an AMAZING inspection of an AMAZINGLY REMODELED home for you! I’m so happy that you found such a special place to live, and I’ll now be able to dream sweet dreams of you in this very happy, uplifting home! GREAT JOB YOU TWO!!!
Now we just pray through all the details!
Oh, and how nicely it worked out for me to hook up with Lee, your agent who I’d met 5 years ago on a plane! I knew then that she was a special person, and after seeing her today, I know even more about why! God is so good.

sounds good to me!! i looked it up on the comp. and it looks like you’re right on the water..we’re still sweltering but supposed to get rain tonight..we can only hope..i’m so hasppy that all is going forward with the house…love to allxxxg.g.
Cant tell you how excited we are to hear about the great news on the house, and what luck!! my little pants seems to be growing up sooo fast, he looks so big! i wish i could be there!! he’s soo cute as a little hawaiian prince, he seems to be just adapting to his island life so well. you and dave look so happy too, i guess it really is paradise!
