Here are Sam and Mikko-Dakota watching the big boys play at the tide pools. We brought a little plastic box full of snacks – my idea was to bury it in the sand and then dig it up later for snack time. A snack cache treasure! Well, it worked pretty well but took some effort to keep it from floating off, even after I let all the air out and the container filled with water. We got it buried then went off to swim. In the meantime, these two big boys (pictured above) stumbled across our treasure and dug it up! The “pirates” kindly reburied our treasure for us, and I invited them to share it with us later. I did discover that ziplock snack bags are not watertight. I rinsed our grapes off but the pretzels didn’t make it 🙂 Thanks for the shot, Liisa!
