First day home alone with two boys
Thankfully Ben slept well last night despite being awake nearly all day on Sunday. We feared he’d be way overtired! I had planned on getting up early, feeding Ben, sipping a little coffee, then greeting Sam. But Sam foiled me by getting up early! Oh well…we had a good morning. I got Ben back down for a nap, had breakfast with Sam, built some Legos, talked about lots of things (see below), watered the plants, fed the dog, even cleaned the kitchen floor… Then to tumbling class – only 5 min late! I managed to squeeze in a quick feeding for Ben before the class. Then on to the commissary…Sam and I staked out just the right kid cart (there are only 2 of the carts we really like – that steer well and are fun for kids – so we followed a lady to her car and “offered” to take the cart back for her – ha! there’s stiff competition for these “rocket” carts), then I fed Ben again, and we almost made it out without fussing. I had to do a diaper change in line…whew! Came home and fed Ben – ooops – huge spit-up or was it a vomit? We both had to change clothes entirely. Both boys went to bed for a nap around 2pm and slept for over 2 hours. Very nice start to my life as a mom of two. I’m sure every day won’t go as well but I’m thankful for this day!
Sam still naps?? Enjoy that while it lasts! Good work! I cried when I was left alone with two the first afternooon my mom was gone!
You thought that went well??? Good grief! What ARE you on? :). That sounded hectic!
I think I’d do sports one day and food shopping the next You go girl!! Can’t wait to see my favorite family of four — day after tomorrow!
Beautiful weather here. Worked hard on my yard and swam in Ann’s pool tonight. Now I remember why CA is so wonderful.
