Sammy sits in the front seat!

I really owe Dave. He just killed a massive cockroach in the kitchen after a battle to the end, all the way from the pantry, across the counter, down the cabinets to the floor where Dave finally cornered him. I was half lying on our dining room table, feet up in the air under me, laughing as Dave hunched, hopped and pounced repeatedly across the kitchen. Such a brave man. I did tell him, though, that if he EVER chases me with one (shame on you, my brother PIGLET, for chasing me as a kid with daddylonglegs across 6 acres of farm!) I already have papers drawn up to immediately divorce him. Then he ran the disposal. All I could picture was those long antennae spinning around and getting snipped off. I heard his body crunch…YUCK!!!! I will see cockroaches every time I run the disposal now! Dave says it is all my fault – we are out of paper towels, his prime cockroach hunting weapon.
Now that I am past that bit of nastiness and have wound down…on to the real fun news. I also owe Dave for installing a new bike carrier onto my mountain bike! I have really missed riding it, and now Sammy can share in the fun. I get to have gears (yeah!) and hand brakes – and Sammy gets to sit in the front! We biked over to the Marine base, all around their housing (some of it very very nice!), to the playground for Sammy to have some fun, then down a trail through ponds and marsh. All together we did about 10 miles. Sammy really enjoyed it – especially when I gave him biking smootches! I sneaked a kiss onto his neck and surprised him. He squealed like crazy and loved looking around and seeing me hovering over him as we biked. By the end of the ride he was holding onto the side bars (you’ll see them in the picture) and helping steer. It was so much more interactive than the rear carrier. I had researched carefully for about 2 months before finally deciding on this model. It worked out great! Check out www.ibertinc.com for more info – and possibly our picture! See link at top for “ALBUM” – more pictures from today are posted in there.
Yeah!!!! I found the other pix from the bike adventure…..
Love the cheerios on the crayon… seems like something Dave would have done as a young lad!!!!! Sammy really does like the tools!!!! We’ll have to get him his own little man’s tool set.!!!
Can’t wait to meet some of those crawling critters:+)
Love you guys!!!!

You are sure helping my Hawaii jealousy factor by reporting the nasty bugs, roaches and toddler size frogs! Thank you sooo much for telling the bad with the good. Chad was afraid I would leave him soon.
