INIHAW NA BANGUS (Grilled Milkfish)

That’s what’s for dinner tomorrow night. Are you scared? I am. You should see what’s in my freezer. It’s huge, filleted, and has whiskers. It’s as big as your head. Bigger, actually. It’s mystery-fish-of-the-week night tomorrow night. I will be going to the farmers’ market in the morning to see if I can get an appropriate accompaniment for this fish – a strange fruit or veggie. Or maybe I’ll leave it in the freezer for the next military family who moves in here on Friday. An Air Force guy and his family will be moving in as we move out. It’s such great temporary housing, and I’m delighted they found the place through a listing I posted on behalf of the homeowner. It was nice to help them out since they made this such a comfortable landing spot for us.  Back to the fish in the freezer idea… I apparently left something in the freezer at our old place in Poulsbo. Our sweet landlord emailed me a thank-you for my delightful surprise in the freezer – even said I was so thoughtful! What did I leave???!!! I wish I knew. The people we bought our house from left ice cream sandwiches in their freezer. Sammy and I shared one the other day. It’s the thing to do…leave something special in the freezer 🙂

L I’ll B! I’ve never heard of that! I’ll have to call Edie and tell her I have one more key for her, and see if I can “sniff out” what you left!

This fish sounds strange !!!!! Can’t wait to see what you pick to go with it.
    Good job Sammy.
Not sure I will be able to take the roaches! Yellow slugs are more tolerable!!!!
I’m curious….. what did you leave?
